Deleted Partition By Mistake

Hi. I was formatting my computer, and I accidentally deleted my external drive's partition.  I didn't proceed with the actual format.  I have a number of disk recovery tools, but when I use them, it tells me that it will take 95 hours to complete.  It seems like there should be a faster way to restore what I need.
