I am working on a server for a small office and the person that setup the server used 4 80GB drives setup in RAID 5.  There are 3 partitions including the system partition, they do a lot of document imaging and are running out of harddrive space. The owner wants to replace the harddrives with larger ones, there aren't any open harddrive slots. So I am looking at either replacinga couple or all 4 drives, I was thinking of using 2 of the drives in RAID I for the system partition and Applications and using two 500GB RAID I for data. Is there anyway to image or backup the system partion from the RAID 5 and move it to a Raid I ?, or am I looking at a complete rebuild of this server?Start Free Trial
