Browse All TopicsI need a good windows software that will retrieve all the software installed on a PC. Software should be run from a CD/flash drive, and should not need to be installed. This is because I need to get information from every PC on a network.
Information should contain all the software that is installed, and the software version, and possible the date of installation, and all the similar information.

Everest Home Edition is a VERY outdated tool and I'm not sure I would recommend it.
Belarc and the Everest Ultimate Edition trial may be useful... but I don't believe either runs from a single executable and I'm not sure how fast they would work.
System Information for Windows requires no added support files, DLLs, etc. It COULD require a license key, but that's it.
