Hello,
I'm looking for a monitoring software for servers, VMware (ESX 4), SAN (NetApp N-series) and also log management. Any good suggestion?

Well the choice is yours, but you you are looking for a good and professional one... Go for the very best of them, go for Nagios.
Huge community out there (which mean free support and you will never get stuck), hundreds of plunging, Open source project, used by few top 500 biggest company in the world (including: yahoo), ability to execute an action when an event happen, alerting via mail and SMS.
I did implement Nagios with success in our company as well, and we are now monitoring over a 350 Machines/devices and over thousand services and hardware status.
No really don't do the mistake to implement another solution, Nagios IS the way to go.
