Defragmenter stopped at 50% by file that won't defragment

Asked by baten52 in Windows XP Operating System, System Utilities, System Diagnostic Software

Whenver I try and defragment, my system tells me that '...some files could not be defragmented..' and ceases at about 50% completed. Firstly, could someone tell me how I can restore my defragmenter and secondly any other defragmenters that I can dowload. I run Windows XP 2000. ThanksStart Free Trial
