registry entry : Winlogon\Notify\Run what is this for ?

It seems that lost of spywares do use this entry for autorun at startup
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\Notify\Run

Can someone explain me how to use this entry to make mu application AUTORUN ?
I do not want to use this very well known registry entry : HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

And what are the diffrences between : HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run and HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\Notify\Run ?
