The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

Quickbooks in Citrix Environment

Asked by miketatum in Citrix

Background info:  This question involves  a productivity app i.e. Quickbooks Pro 2002-2005 running in a Citrix Metframe Server environment.  This is one of the few non-network edition applications running in the network environment, please don't macerate me for this, (I did not father the situation on walked in on it and need a solution), accessed through a "portal" server that passes the load to one of five terminal servers which in turn either runs the app itself or pulls it from a single application server.  Quickbooks itself (all versions aforementioned)are stored on a single terminal server.
Here is the situation:  The Quickbooks starts fine, but when you go to open a "company file" it gives the error "Not enough memory" in a message box with the only option of ok.  This only for certain individuals others are able to log in and use the program with no problem.  So, I went in and poked around their profile that was instantiated after their session and found that if i copied local settings folder from a profile that was working then they would not have a problem afterwards with Quickbooks, but they would with other programs. So, I guess what I am asking is what exactly is following them around in "Local Settings" and how do I prevent it?Start Free Trial
