Hello there,
I have a big problem: I cannot log onto Citrix Management Console - I have no valid Citrix Administrator user there! Simply said - previous IT Administrator was fired from company, I took his place, the guy when leaving he deleted his account in the domain and this was the only account that was set in Management Console as Citrix Administrator. Now, when I run Management Console, it asks me for user, but the only Citrix Administrator setup there is not existing anymore.
I tried to create new user with the same username as the fired guy had, but it doesn't work (Citrix is probybly using SIDs from Windows Domain, which I understand).
Simply, I need to add new Citrix Administrator to Citrix, but I have no access to Citrix Management Console. How to do that?
I have the physical server with me, I can run e.g. Citrix Server Administration from the Start Menu. I have Administrator permissions on the computer, in whole domain. I also have the installation CD's of Citrix
The system is
Citrix MetaFrame XP 1.0 SP3
Windows 2000 Server SP4
Just one note: I have found this text in Citrix Metaframe XP Administrator's Guide:
Note One Citrix administrator account with full administration rights must always exist in the server farm. MetaFrame prevents you from deleting the last Citrix administrator account with this level of permission. However, if the account no longer exists in the network account authority, the console allows a local administrator to log on to the console to set up Citrix administrator accounts.
Well - this does not work for me (or I am doing something wrong): The previous Citrix Administrator account does not exist in the domain. When I try to run Citrix Management Console, it just pops-up error "Pass-through Authentication failed, failed to connect to server GRUNCIT. Error Code:457" - and if I fill in local administrator User and Password and try to connect, it writes "Failed to connect to reffered farm server <GRUNCIT>"
