We currently have a home grown application that works on the Desktop with a Signature Capture device. We have the same application running in a Citrix 4.0 environment and have tried to get Signature Capture devices to work in our environment with little luck. The first attempt was using the signature capture device that was used on the desktop through a serial port/com connection. We got this to work through COM port mapping, but it was extremely slow or slow enough that the users would not accept the solution (1-5 minutes for Signature to Appear). These tests were done before I joined the team. Now we have a new project to get Signature Capture devices working through Citrix with a reasonable response time. We are looking at this device, TT8500 from this company:
http://www.handheld.com/Site.aspx/na/en/product_center/overview/?product=118The device includes Serial, USB, and Ethernet options. We were really hoping that we could get the device working in Citrix using the USB connection, but can't/don't know how to make it work or if its even possible. We have W2K3 systems with Citrix 4.0. I guess we don't know how to MAP the Signature Capture device using the USB connection over ICA.
Any help would be appreciated.
