Forgot ODBC password for Citrix 4.5 datastore

Zone: Citrix
Tags: citrix, password, odbc, datastore
When joining a new server to a Citrix Presentation Server 4.5 farm I've got to input ODBC username and password.

I forgot which ones I used to setup the farm, is it possible to either retrieve the user/pass used or reset these on the datacollector?

I've tried "DSMAINT CONFIG /user:username /pwd:password /dsn:"C:\program files\Citrix\Independent Management Architecture\MF20.dsn" without any luck..

The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

I have the sam eissue with an ACCESS datastore; how can I reset/retrive the password IF the default has been changed?  I won't know until I am in the middle of moving it to another server.  Thanks.

Are you certain your access DS password has changed?  The default user name is "citrix" and the default password is "citrix".

Yes, I do know the defaults; I am NOT sure if it has been changed.  I am trying to research of how to handle it IF I am prompted and the citrix/citrix does NOT work.  At that point I will be in the middle of moving our datastore and do NOT want to get stuck without a plan to retrieve or reset it on the fly.

I appreciate any information you might have.
Thank you

You should start your own new question instead of dove tailing on a concluded question.

Here we go, I knew there was a hack for this: http://www.thomaskoetzing.de/index.php?option=com_docman&task=cat_view&gid=58

find Slim Jim on that page.  You can flush the administrators and set the DS to allow the local administrator.  I have never tried this but Thomas is a trustworthy source.  Needless to say, back it up first.
