Citrix Client Errors

I am experiencing a problem with a client's Citrix client connection.   They log onto a remote applkication server in  Europe via the Citrix Web Client

On this one unit, the user gets the error :
Error Number 2312:  The ICA Client received a corrupt ICA file. The ICA file has no [ApplicationServer] Section".

He is running XP Pro SP1 ( I know... I know..I just found this out) but other, identical machines in the same office connect normally.  Same OS version, same Citrix client, same everything, except the one elusive difference that I can't identify that keeps it from connecting normally.

I can log into his account normally from other machines and no account will work on this machine.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the client ( v 10.1) but the problem remains.

There have been similar problems reported with different language/character encoding, in particular, German. Is there a difference between the workstation regional/language settings on the working vs. non-working machines?

Also, some have reported that the error occurs on workstations where the V10  client is installed new, but doesn't appear when the V10 client has upgraded a V9 client. You could try uninstalling V10, installing V9, and then upgrading to V10. (No guarantees, but it's something to try.)

I just dealt with this in my company.  One user, and only one, experienced this.  My hunch was that he was missing necessary rights to a folder and/or file on his laptop. Even though his account was a member of the admins group, I explicitly gave his account full access rights and propagated the rights to all folders.  Had I had more time, I would have looked more in-depth to see just where the problem rights were.  

After propagating the rights, the error cleared and he was able to access the apps.
