Hi guys,
i got a weird problem at a customers site. The customer is using a Citrix Presentation Server V4.5 serverfarm (Windows 2003 Server Standard), with 2 servers in it. Branch office users are connecting via vpn to the server farm.
This is working quite well, except for one user.
This user connects to the server, login is possible without any problem. He opens Outlook 2007 and Excel 2007. These are the only programs he uses.
Then he interrupts his work for some time, to went to the storehouse or to take on a telephone call.
After a few minutes (10-15 minutes) he comes back and in most cases the citrix connection is not reactiong anymore. The client windows shows only a dark grey background. He can close the client window, but he can't connect back to these connection. In the citrix access management console this connection is still active. The connection is not disconnected, it's still active.
Sometimes it's possible to take over this connection as admin, but after 20-30s the client windows freezes.
Only way to get this user to work again, is to log him off via the access manager.
After that, he can connect to the server farm without any problem.
He can work until the weird behavior starts again.
When this happens, there isn't much load on the server. Cpu load, memory usage are normal.
On some days this behavior occurs only once a day, on other days it occurs up to 10 times or even more.
He is the only user, who has this problem. He does not use any strange applications or something like that. He's just using Excel and Outlook 2007. No gimmicks.
I've deleted his terminalserver profil and builded up a new one. No success.
I'm running out of ideas right now and i would appreciate any help.
Bye
