Hello, we are using Citrix Metaframe XP Server feature release 3. We are using it on Server 2000, and trying to set it up to try on a new server as a trial, we can get one user connected but no more than one user at a time which is the problem. We have went through activating the license server with microsoft so that is taken care of.
The error message we get is as follows when trying to connect a second or third PC to the citrix server
Warning! The following citrix product is installed but has no licenses. Metaframe XP 1.0 english for Windows
Citrix PRoducts will not function until licenses are installed. Please check the product packaging for your license number and use the citrix mgmt console located in citrix group to add licenses.
We also get an error stating that the IMA service may not be running
You original msg said you had dealt with Microsoft for licensing. That is why I asked if your Citrix licenses have been taken care of. The default, IIRC, is that only 2 people can login if there are no Citrix licenses.
Also if your citrix server was also your license server I believe even in XP you had to rename your server exactly the same or else get your licenses reallocated to a different server name. Are your licenses on mycitrix.com where you can see them and reallocate them?
yes the licenses are on mycitrix.com. but i do not think the problem is in this area. all of the licenses appear to be OK. we can only log in one guy at a time and we continue to get the license nag. any ideas?
