Hi all,
I have a very annoying problem and as I find myself unable to solve this one I am asking for help by some expert(s) on the topic:
I have a Citrix Presentation Server Farm with a single 4.5 PS Server. Clients are connecting through webinterface (
https://servername.domain.de/Citrix/PNAgent/config.xml)
. All the clients are Win XP w/ SP2. The users get some network printers connected through a login script based on their AD group membership. Until last week these network printers have been auto-created on the Citrix sessions so the users were able to print on the same printers as locally. The Citrix server provides only published remote applications (no streaming and no desktop).
All of a sudden the network printers do not auto-create anymore. Local printers still are created in the ICA sessions. I have checked the printer policy. It is not changed but is set to auto-create all client printers. I tried to publish a desktop for myself. Here I had a look at the printer and fax devices and I seemed to have all printers connected. But when I tried printing actually I got an error message telling me that there is no printer installed.
I also have checked a RDP session. I can connect fine and I see all the printers are created successfully. But also here I cannot print. Notepad for example tells me before I can print I need to install a printer. In the print menu I can see all the printers but I cannot select any of them.
I am really stuck here and don't know what else I can do. I have no error messages that could be helpful. Maybe there is a way to increase logging on the server (its PS 4.5 Advanced) or the client to get more info?
I would give more than 500 points to this question if I could so any help is really appreciated. I need to solve this asap.
Thanks a lot in advance.
Daniel
