Hello,
I'm using Access Essentials 2.0 and just recently go to the point of testing Citrix printing. I think I have my policy setup correctly but still I was not able to access the client's printer through application being served by AE.
My policies are set as follows:
1. Client Printers > Auto-creation: Enabled, Auto-create all client printers
2. Client Printers > Legacy client printers: Enabled, Create old-style client printers
3. Client Printers > Printer properties retention: Enabled, Held in profile only if not saved on client
4. Client Printers > Print job routing: Enabled, Always connect indirectly as a client printer
5. Client Printers > Turn off client printer mapping: Not configured
Yesterday I was at a remote location on a laptop to install a Brother 8840dn that is on the network there. I tested that I could print directly to the printer through the client like I normally would (i.e. using Notepad). I then browsed to my AE server's website and logged in. I opened an application (in this case Sage's MAS 200) and opened an invoice and tried to print but I did not find the Brother in the list. Instead I saw two other printers (both of which are installed on my workstation at the office).
Where did I go wrong? I'm new to all of this so I could have easily missed something in the configuration or policy and/or misunderstood how this is supposed to work.
Any comments and/or suggestions are welcome!
