Citrix Connection Encryption - Is it needed with Secure Gateway?

We are hosting multiple applications using Citrix Presentation Server 4.5. Clients access these published applications via Citrix Secure Gateway. When publishing an applicaiton, you have the option (under Advanced > Client Options) to select a Connection Encryption.

My question is - since Secure Gateway is already running SSL, is this setting even necessary?Start Free Trial
