Farm runs with 16bit Colordepth but Clients are different

Hy,
the configuration of our farm with a public application is configured with 16bit colordepth.
As we installed the Citrix-Client on a computer configured with 256 Color we saw that
a flash played movie was bucking (dont know the correct english word,perhaps wiggly).
A secound PC with Citrix-Client on it was configured with 24bit an the films ran smoothly.
I thought more colors = more traffic = slower speed.

Why ?
