That is the problem, there are certain reports that work just fine within the application and the output works correctly so the report is e-mailed. Unfortuantey the support on this application just expired in November.

Browse All TopicsI have a Dell PowerEdge 2500 which is running Windows 2000 SP4, Citrix Metaframe XP. The Task Scheduler has been used for a very long time to run scheduled Stonefield Query reports to run. Stonefiled Query is a 3rd party application which has canned reports that pull data from a Goldmine Database (Goldmine 5.7). When setting up the task scheduler, it is integrated into Stonefield Query, so can be setup there or manually via Task Scheduler.
The issue is, recently, the jobs are scheduled to run in the night and though the jobs are scheduled to e-mail, the report is now being sent to the main default Printer for the Citrix server. The job runs successfully, but prints instead of e-mail. If I setup a new job or reschedule the same job to run during the day so I can monitor, 1/2 the time, it e-mails as it should and without any changes, 1/2 the time it prints.
How do I find the culprit? I've changed the scheduling times, I've reset the password, I've completely recreated jobs. I've even made sure to rename the scheduled jobs themselves.
I am not finding any errors in the Event Logs. The Task Scheduler log just indicates everything was successful, as shown:
"Run Report _Company- Daily Activity Report.job" (sfquery.exe)
Finished 3/4/2009 9:36:25 AM
Result: The task completed with an exit code of (1).
"Run Report _Company - Daily Activity Report.job" (sfquery.exe)
Started 3/4/2009 9:38:16 AM
"Run Report _Company - Daily Activity Report.job" (sfquery.exe)
Finished 3/4/2009 9:39:59 AM
Result: The task completed with an exit code of (0).
"JOB_Run Report _Company - Daily Activity Report.job" (sfquery.exe)
Started 3/4/2009 9:41:28 AM
Any thoughts? This is driving me bonkers.
I do have one query that is running as scheduled, again to add to the mystery this is a Stonefield Query setup like the others. It has run correctly for several days where the others run, but the output goes to the printer. The printer option is not defined wtihin the reports. Still don't have an explanation, so any suggestions would be appreciated.

I am assuming the email/print portion of the scheduled task is handled by the report software itself... is that accurate? It sounds to me like there is a problem with the application and not anything related to Citrix. Have you looked to the Report Software provider for support or documentation on this issue?
