We use Citrix Xenapp 4.5 to publish our applications. The Citrix Xenapp 11.0 client on each workstation is set to "Pass-through authentication". It appears that after I reboot the Citrix servers that the Xenapp Client on some machines switches the logon mode from "Pass-through authentication" to "Prompt User".
I have tried reinstalling the Citrix Xenapp 11.0 client on those workstations that are having this issue however it does not remedy this situation. Secondly, I've tried copying my "appsrv.ini" file(since my computer does not have this issue) onto the workstations that are problematic. Yet again this does not fix the issue...
Is it perhaps that there is an issue between the Citrix Access Gateway and Xenapp clients on those workstations? or does it have something to do with users not logging off their local profile (local profiles are "locked") and when then the Citrix servers are rebooted it causes the Xenapp clients to switch the logon mode from "Pass-through authentication" to "Prompt User"?

Sorry, I was thinking of Application icons, If you have more than on option the users will be able to select.
Here is what I think is happening..
For some reason the pass through is not working for some users and it's promting them and reverting them to the default. could you set pass through as the default and test?
You can configure 'Passthrough' as Default authentication method on PNAGent site. And, check if 'Passthrough' is default authentication method on PNA Client (ROght click--> Option) for problematic users or not. If they have 'Prompt' as authentication then they will be ask for enter credential even if PNA wesite has 'Passthrough' as default.
