Our users access a full desktop through the citrix environment and when they try to access the internet the pages either get really slow or just hang. It seems we are dropping packets on our Linux box that is hosting Squid, so we are monitoring that problem at the moment to see if that is the cause. All other users on oour network that are going through the Squid proxy are having no problems. It is just with the users that are going through Citrix and Squid. Al other users are local desktops going through the Squid proxy and have no issues with the internet.

What is your issue? Are you publishing IE or do your users access a full desktop and then access the internet?
I am not a squid guru but we use it and have a citrix environment. The main issue is if you allow IE through citrix, you cannot determine the users as you will only get the IP address of the server. But as far as access goes you should not have any issues. Can users outside of citrix get internet access? Can you access the internet from the server itself?
Are you sure this is squid related and not IE on the citrix server? Perhaps IE Enhanced Security is enabled on the server itself?
