Citrix User Access

I noticed that any user on the domain can login thru the Citrix Web Interface.  I have removed all the anonXXX acounts from the Remote Desktop Users group.  They don't have any applications available if I haven't given them access.  But I would like their logon attempt to fail unless I have given them access to use Citrix.

Impossible as far as I know. You might be able to do it with Citrix Advanced Access Control but you'd have to get the necessary licenses.

You can edit the group policy under computer>Windows settings> Security settings>Local Policies>User Rights assignements> Allow logon through terminal services to change what groups are allowed. Create a terminal server group in AD and only allow them login access.

I don't think that will stop them from being able to logon to the WI though??

I looked at the Allow logon through terminal services setting.  The only two entries are Administrator, and Remote Desktop Users.  I have only my Citrix users in the Remote Desktop Users group.  But still, it appears any domain user can log on.

How about deny logon through terminal services or deny access? you can add groups to this, just remember that deny overides allow, so make sure there is no overlap.

So this is normal for a Citrix environment?  A domain user can log on, but has no applications to run.  Still secure?

Theoretically, without published apps there really isn't much they can do.

Unfortunately thats the way that the Citrix WI works. It's just doing a domain authentication and it either authenticates or not. If there are no published apps it is still secure.
