Question

Citrix WI time-out with XenApp 11.2

Asked by: fagdata

Hi!

We have Citrix WI with version 5.1.2
If users are using the newest Citrix client (desktop viewer) they get "timed-out" Wait a bit and then they pop back in. also if we change the resolution when the "time-out" is trying to connect, it pops back right away. We have 1 WI with version 4.5 the issue is not present here. Probably because 4.5 does not have Desktop Viewer ?
Yes, we can install the older version, but I would really like the new one to work correctly.

Have anyone experienced this, or have any suggestions? Any fixes or help would be appreciated

Anyone?

Hello-
We are experiencing the same issue. This appears to be a problem with the latest Citrix client 11.2, and only seems to be affecting published desktops. If you downgrade your client to a previous version this will likely fix the problem. We are running WI 5.2 on Xenapp 5 with all the latest hotfixes-    This is not affecting all of our citrix servers.

Doesn't seem like it has been any fix for this yet. Only more and more ppl are experiencing this issue

Not sure about your setup, but have you attempted to restart the servers in your farm?   This finally cleared up the issue on the one I was having trouble with.  I also restarted the machine running our secure gateway.

We are also getting this same problem.

Server 2008, WI 5.2 and Client 11.2 and get this error every 30 seconds when connecting to a published desktop through web interface

'Connection to your desktop has been interrupted

Re-connection to your desktop will occur automatically. In the event that re-connection fails, or this message remains for many minutes you should call your Help Desk.'

I have checked all over the web including Citrix Support forums and nobody seems to know how to resolve it.

by: ConmaxPosted on 2009-12-10 at 07:44:00ID: 26019362

At the moment the only solution I have found is to downgrade the client to anything under version 11.2.

by: fagdataPosted on 2009-12-29 at 06:00:33ID: 31650536

Only solution is to downgrade, until Citrix fixes this

Here is a follow-up from Citrix regarding the problem--

I just saw this,  so I haven't had time to try out the fix, but this looks like it is addressing what you have been seeing.
