Citrix XenApp 5.5 and 7 Problems with Universal Print Drivers

Our Citrix Admin is in the process of moving our environment from Xenapp 5.5 to 7. IN the mean time one of our efforts has been to clean up the printer drivers on our print server cluster and have slowly switch from the vendor specific driver to the universal print driver. SInce doing do our Citrix admin has stated that anytime he print from Citrix to a print using the universal print driver it hangs up the Citrix and the only way to recover is by rebooting the Citrix servers.

From everything that I have read Citrix recommends using the universal print driver..
