I tried these steps and it still shows that PCanywhere is installed when I run the Norton removal tool?

Browse All TopicsI am trying to remove Pcanywhere from a Windows XP computer but it does not show up in the add remove programs. I ran the Microsoft installer removal tool and removed it. When I tried running the Norton removal tool to remove Norton 360 it says that Pcanywhere is still installed? I am not sure how to procede from here. My goal is to get Norton 360 out completely.

Try doing the followings:
Delete following registry keys:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Softwar
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Softwar
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Softwar
Delete folder:
C:\Program Files\Symantec\pcAnywhere <---- depends of windows language the ''Program Files'' name
Delete following files: (Don't delete the folders)
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared
ehandres.dll
iraabout.dll
iralpttr.dll
iramdmtr.dll
irareg.dll
irasrial.dll
irawebtl.dll
sevinst.exe
C:\Windows\System
awg.dll
C:\Winnt\system32
awddi.dll
awgina.dll
awmon.dll
awvid5.dll
awvideo.dll
PcaPerfCtrs.dll
C:\Winnt\system32\Drivers
aw_host.sys
aw_host5.sys
awlegacy.sys
And finally to remove the Pcanywhere name from Add/Remove list delete from then following registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWAR
To Enter in registry:
Start - > Run -> regedit

Then use the Norton Removal tool.
