RC4 and AES encryption issue

Asked by Tim_Jr in Encryption for Network Security, Remote Access Software, PC Anywhere Remote Access Software

Hi. I don't have a ridiculously urgent question, but if I find an answer my boss would certainly be pleased. We use PCAnywhere to connect to all of our remote server systems. We always configure the systems to use the better AES encryption algorithm for connectivty, but from time to time we notice that boxes we set to use AES will revert back to the default RC4 encryption method. Usually after a reboot the system corrects itself, but it's not easy for us to reboot these servers as we are a 24/7 service store (gas included). I thought I'd just ask if anyone had experienced this before and if they knew of any 'on the fly' resolutions or tips. Thank you for your help everyone. Start Free Trial
