Asked by lynntwin in Microsoft Visual Interdev, PC Anywhere Remote Access Software
I have been attempting to set up Remote Access from my home computer to my office computer. Both are running Windows XP SP3. My computer at work is set up on a peer-to-peer network (we are a small non-profit) and we have a Motorola DSL modem. Our modem is set up as a DHCP server and the IP Addresses of the computers are setup as dynamic. I have not been able to connect remotely from my home computer. I don't know if I need to change the IP address to a static IP at the computer or if I need to change it at the modem point. Also, my computer ID is very simple, should I create a longer, more varied computer ID so that it is easier to find from my home computer? Help.
