Please guide me. Which is the way that i should go with to have REMOTE ACCESS? I have 3 computers. 2 desktops at home/office, and one laptop. Basically, when i travel i would like to be able to do 2 things, or at least the first:
1) have access to my files on my home/office desktops computers from my laptop.
2) Be able thorugh some kind of desktop control to start a program (3dsmax) and for example start a "rendering task" . I do Architectural renderings, which take sometimes 4, 8 hours.. so it would be nice to be able to leave home, but have the option of logging remotely to my computers at home and make them render my models (the file will be completely setup so i just need to start the 3dsmax software on the desktop, and hit the rendering button...).
I use Windows XP PRO in all my computers
- I have heard that there is an option in Windows XP pro that allows remote access (will this be good enough for me?) or do i need another kind of access thorug a third program? I have also heard a little about a program named LOGMEIN, will that work?
What do you recommend? Hopefully , if possible, i will prefer a FREE method, or the least expensive (i am not fan of those programs that yuou have to pay annually or monthly.. Rather if there is no free option, one single payment, and thats it..
Please if possible give me a link or guide me through the process of setting my computers to have this remote access.
This is kind of urgent because i will be traveling soon, and i need to figure out this. I'll appreciate all your help.
