Remote desktop printing not pulling through
Dear All,
I have a Windows XP SP3 (32 bit) PC at home, and I have a Win 7 SP1 PC (64 bit) in the office, I remote into my PC via a VPN Connection, but when I RDP from home to my Win 7 PC my home USB printer connected to my XP PC does not pull through (Dell 1700n printer).
I have the printers tab selected on the RDP local resources tab, and I have installed the drivers for the Dell 1700 onto both PC's but it does not drag through to my work PC?
Can anyone help with this please?
Thanks

There are a couple of conditions that control whether printers are mapped.
1. inside the RDP client application. make sure its on
2. make sure the correct printer is the default
3. must be enabled on the RDP server
check this registry setting on your windows 7 computer
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Mic
fDisableCpm set to 0 :: enable
fDisableCpm set to 1 :: disable
if its not there create it, the datatype is a DWORD
