Some accounts unable to RDP to server from a particular workstation.
We have 4 user accounts setup for RDP access to our server. They have been working just fine, and all 4 continue to work just fine from any workstation except for one.
On that workstation, only 1 or 2 of the rdp accounts are able to connect. The other accounts respond with an error message talking about incorrect credentials. However, when we test those credentials from another workstation, the RDP session connects with no problem.
The exact accounts that work or are refused on that workstation vary from day to day it seems.
This is driving me nuts!
Is there some kind of cache that needs to be cleared out that is broken or something?

do you have an AD domain in place? if yes, is the comouter having the RDP problem a member computer of the domain?
ASKER
Yes, it is a AD domain.
All machines are members of the domain.
All machines are members of the domain.
if so is the problem computer in a different OU? or some RDP related permissions are only applied to a specific group of computers?
ASKER
No. If that were the case - permissions related to OU/GPO - then all of the remote user accounts would be affected, as they are all identical. But this is so weird, as one day, only #2 and #3 can connect, and the next day, #3 and #1 can connect.
Then only #4... it is totally random as to which one(s) are able to connect from that workstation on each day.

...an error message talking about incorrect credentialsI wonder if this is related to other recent RDP questions.

So... apparently. this is not just an isolated incident. From what I have been able to find, this is due to some update that 'bent' something...
Yay Microsoft.
Yay Microsoft.
I have seen this on my systems too -- and I can't explain it either. And with me it will be that 10 minutes ago I could remote on and then I can't. I then have to remote onto a system that I can get into, remote into the system I cannot get into via the WAN/internet and get on it via the LAN/Local network and then I can remote via the internet again and this did start after this month's Windows updates.
