I am trying to configure one of my users so he can access his desktop here at the office when he is traveling.

Our network consists of Windows 2003 SBS standard. 45 Windows XP desktops and 6 other application servers.

Here is what I have done so far:

Logged into our Fortigate 100A router,
Created a new Vitrual IP with the name user_rdp, used our public ip address and opened a port ie  xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:5000.
Created a  new custom Firewall service call user_name rdp with the settings:protocol TCP, Source Port Low=1 High-65535, Destination Port Low 5000, High 5000

Configured the destination Windows XP box to accept remote desktop connections
Opened port 5000 on the destination box Windows Firewall

When I try and connect using the exterior ip address xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:5000, Remote Desktop thinks for a few minutes then reports it could not find the specific computer check with the network admin.

What am I missing? Should I disable Windows Firewall domain wide?
