Remote Desktop - Automatic Logoff

Asked by jdana in Remote Desktop/Terminal Services

Tags: Microsoft, Windows XP

There are all sorts of ways to automatically disconnect or logoff an inactive user with Terminal Services on a Window Server 2003 box.  However, I have a Windows XP box that's setup for periodic Remote Desktop access for the office staff.  Sometimes, a user spaces out and leaves their session going indefinitely on this machine.  Is there a way to configure the XP box to automatically logoff inactive Remote Desktop sessions (much like there is on a WS03 box with Terminal Services)?
