Can't  use Remote Desktop to server. Getting error message

Asked by FIMC in Remote Desktop/Terminal Services, Windows XP Operating System, Microsoft Operating Systems

When I try to log on to Remote desktop I get the following pop up: "The publisher of this Remote Connection cannot be identified. Do you want to connect anyway?" When I click the connect button.  I get another error that says " Remote Desktop Connection has encountered a problem and needs to close. " (See attached for screen shots)
This happens when trying to access different servers.  It was working yesterday before installing SP3 on my HP machine.
