Browse All TopicsI'm sure this should be pretty easy but I am having difficulty getting a static translation to work on a Pix running
Cisco Secure PIX Firewall Version 5.3(1). The hardware from the "show version" command states
Hardware: SE440BX2, 128 MB RAM, CPU Pentium II 350 MHz
I am trying to add static translation for say 192.168.1.54 to a public IP of say null.null.null.null
Until I can get the actual ports needed for the application I am going to have this open completely (I know kind of silly).
My static translation after I entered it in looks like this:
static (inside,outside) null.null.null.null 192.168.1.54 netmask 255.255.255.255 0 0
After I have done this I have built a conduit as the rest of the already built statics have and that looks like this:
conduit permit ip host null.null.null.null any (hitcnt=0)
What am I missing here,? When I do show conduit the hit count never increments regardless of what protocol I am using.
I can ping the private address from the pix, but can not do much else. Thanks
