  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. VPN tunnel connects, but I can't ping any resources

The issue is that I can successfully create a VPN tunnel, but once connected, I can't ping any of the remote resources.  I have searched high and low, but I have not been successful finding someone that has a similar situation with the client behind a NAT router.  Let me give you an overview of the current configuration:

Client Machine (Win XP, Netgear Prosafe VPN client)

Linksys BEFW11S4 (Firmware v1.50.14, IPSec passthrough = T, LAN -192.168.0.xxx, WAN - 67.175.xxx.xxx)

Internet

Netgear FVS318 Prosafe VPN Firewall (WAN - 209.xxx.xxx.xxx)
|
|
LAN (192.168.1.xxx)

I feel that the problem lies within the Linksys router, because if I remove it from the equation I can tunnel in successfully and ping resources by ip address.  I am new to setting up VPNs, so any help on this issue would be greatly appreciated.
