This is kind of strange....At our main office we run a sonicwall Pro-VX. One of my users wanted a VPN connection setup at his house, so I took his laptop, his little Linksys router/switch, and his SonicWall Tele3 (Thisis a box to box VPN) to my house and configured everything last night. Totally from scratch- reset the swith/router, reset the sonicwall, etc....Plugged in his laptop and it worked perfect from my house, using the same ISP as he has. So this morning I unplug everything, take it to his house, plug it all back in and NOTHING! He get's a DHCP address from the switch, but can't get to the internet or browse via VPN....What could be causing this? The only two things I could think of might be:
1.) Maybe Time Warner isn't supporting VPN connections in his area but are in mine? That doesn't seem likely, but I don't know...
2.) Since I was using that Security Association this morning and it shows up on the Main Office firewall as an "Active" tunnel, could it maybe not allow another tunnel to be created with that same SA even though it would be from a new Gateway with a new Public IP and everything?
Please help!
