The Solution Rating System

  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. Watchguard Firebox 700 VPN Help

I have a watchguard Firebox III/700 Series model.

I am trying to setup a VPN Connection. I have installed muVPNlite on the client machine and create a shared key and setup this on the client machine and firebox. I am able to connect into the VPN over a dial up modem. I can ping local computers using their local IP address and can even load up a local FTP site using its local IP address. But i cannot browse the network, map a drive or ping via name. I think this is some sort of DNS issue but how do I fix it? And I have a windows 2003 server. Is that going to need to be configured if we want to connect to a share on it or will it just prompt the user for a password and username which is what I am hoping it will do.
