I do not know whether this belongs here as I am unable to a more suitable category.
Cut long story short. I'm now creating a new network which consists of maybe 7-8 clients + servers + nms, and I wish to put them into different vlan by using a Layer 3 Switch so I can do away the router.
I understand that Cisco 3750 and 3560 series allows me to do this, and also use the NoSwitchPort command to switch off the switch ports, and use each port as a independent port that can be control using ACL.
My question: Due to cost constraint, are there any HP Procurve switches which can do similiar things and yet cheaper. Any recommendations will be useful.
