I would like to have access to my network on the go, I have been researching vpns and I need to know if I should go with SBS 2003 standard, premium, or invest in a vpn router(CISCO CISCO837-SDM-K9-64). Security is my main concern but I would like to have it up and running very soon. Would I only have to get a vpn router or do I still need to run a server.
I will have funds eventually to get a decent server and software but if I could spend $400 (newegg) on a vpn router, hook it up to my wireless dsl or even dial up(probably not though), and then to my switch or hub and have access to my workgroup it would make it easier for me until I do get a decent server setup.
I thought about gotomypc or other remote access software but I will want to intergrate the existing hardware with my future server setup if it is possible to run a vpn router sans server.
Also, If I need a server running, would sbs standard work or do I need the extra features of premium?
