Can Vista connect to this PPTP VPN?

Hi all
I'm trying to connect a Vista OS PC remotely to our VPN at the office. I am setting it up in Windows the same way as I did before in Windows XP. It connects on XP, 2000 Pro, etc., of course, but in Vista I get the error message:

Verifying user name and password...
error 734: The PPP link control protocol was terminated

Here area some characteristics of the setup:
- use windows native network connections
- setup with connection to workplace > PPTP VPN
- connects through a Cisco router
- authenticates to a Windows 2000 server IAS

I have checked the user & password.

Any ideas why this wouldn't connect? Let me know if I have not provided enough information.
