Yeah, no cable in my area.
Doesn't really matter any more - apparently it ('Next G' from Telstra) doesn't support TS or Citrix, which I need both.
I'll just have to play the waiting game for someone to drop their ADSL in my area (~200 houses on my RIM). In the mean time I'll have to drive to the inlaws and use their connection to do some work :S

You'd have to tell us more of what you want to do via VPN, and to what type of servers etc your connecting to. If you can work using terminal Services then the bandwidth can be kept low, if you have to logon to a M$ domain from remote etc then the bandwidth jumps up. It also depends on whether you have to transfer files and of which sizes etc.
Have you checked whether a cable connection is available?
