I am using Hamachi (
www.logmein.com) to VPN to my office network. I am able to go to Network Places and see the sever at my office and explore the shared folders on the server. So file and print sharing works fine over the VPN. However a program (
www.d-tools.com) that I use in the office over the network will not work over the VPN. The program uses Sql Server Express 2005 (on the server). My Client (laptop) connects to D-Tools fine at the office, but when I try to connect over the VPN from out of the office it fails.
I have tried everything I know of, including turning Windows firewall off on both machines. The port that the Client connects to is 9000, in case that matters, I believe that is the port for the Sql server.
Windows 2003 server is the server, Vista is on the laptop.
