Error 5: No hostname exists for this connection entry. Unable to make VPN connection.

I get this error when trying to connect through Cisco VPN: "Error 5: No hostname exists for this connection entry. Unable to make VPN connection". The program version is 4.08.
Please help. Thanks!

in your vpn client, right click on the connection name and click modify

Then on the third option, you'll see a Host box. Make sure you fill that up as well as the group name & passwords and you should be good to

You're also using a very old vpn client. I suggest upgrading to version 4.8

I have been running the version and had the same issue.  The problem started after using the VPN client, the next time it was open it did not work.  The first time was fine.  The second time I got this error.  My profile went crazy and all the group authentication configuration was gone.  The profile looks fine until you modify it.  I have to keep e-mailing a new profile to the users.
