Hello joken80,

You didn't really ask a specific question so I don't have much of an idea what you want to setup. Can you be more specific?

You can find loads of information on the Catalyst 1900 at:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/switches/ps574/tsd_products_support_eol_series_home.html

The 2501 router is no longer supported by Cisco and limited information is available from Cisco's website. As you didn't give us much information to work with, it's kind of impossible to point you in the right direction.

As you just have 3 computers and as I assume you want them all being able to talk to each other, there's no reason to setup VLANs. As they're all in the same network, VPNs are out of the question too.

Regards,

LucF

Hello joken80,

To be honest, I'd suggest you to start on reading the manuals on how to operate these devices. There are some nice sample configurations to be found on the internet on how to setup the basics where you can go from. I'm not sure how I can help you on this as you don't have a definitive plan on what setup you want to use. In the default settings, the Catalyst is just another switch, allowing data in all directions. The router might have to be setup, but it sounds like all you want is a basic configuration.

Regards,

LucF

Hi joken80,

You can find the manual for the 2501 at http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/routers/access/2500/2501/software/user/guide/2500ug.html

An installation guide can be found at for example:
Guide to Cisco Router Configuration
http://www.opennet.ru/soft/cisco-configuration.html

For the 1900, you can find a link to one manual in my previous link, another good resource is for example:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/switches/lan/catalyst2900xl_3500xl/catalyst1900_2820/version9.00.00/cli/preface.html or http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/switches/ps574/products_installation_and_configuration_guides_list.html

It all depends on what you want to setup, just "playing" with the options isn't much of an option. You'll have to set yourself targets to learn and should be willing to spend time on looking at manuals and trying things out. Believe me, on this one Google is your best friend.

Regards,

LucF
