Trying to set-up a VPN connection to a DNS Alias via a Netgear DGFV338

Im Trying to connect via a DNSAlias Address to a Netgear DGFV338, could someone tell me what settings should be set on the router and then on a xp client as i have no clue, I have the router pointing port 80 to the local server for exchange mail to be accessable via the internet (which works) i also have VPN Prosafe software loaded on the server and am a little confussed to which i should be configuring the router or the local software.
