Setup up a remote redundant server for backup

Asked by d10u4v in Virtual Private Networking (VPN), DSL Lines / Cable Internet, Computer Servers

Hi,

I looking at setting up a remote server at my home as a backup in case my servers in my office fail.  What is the procedure in doing this?  My office has SDSL with static IP addresses and my home has cable broadband.  I have heard that VPN is used, but not sure how.

Any ideas/suggestiosn would be appreciated.

Regards,
