I am setting up Server 2003 Enterprise to become a VPN Server. It is not a PDC nor a dhcp server.
It's IP is 10.0.0.9 and I have a router (stand alone router, not a server OS) at 10.0.0.2
The server 2003 machine has one nic. I am able to setup RRAS on it, however, if someone connects they receive error 738, no protocol. This is some how related to not getting an IP address, correct?
Please let me know if I need to attach anymore information.
I was able to let it give out IPs by setting static, not sure if it will give out one thats in use on the LAN.
However, if I don't uncheck 'use gateway on remote network' the computer that dials in loses internet connection, I had a 2000 VPN Server and this was never an issue, so I'm sure its a setting on my end.
Which I have intranets I need users to get on so I can't uncheck this.
This is the ipconfig/all from a client trying to connect
