How to import Cisco profiles (.pcf) to Cicso AnyConnect VPN Client

I recently purchased a 64-bit Windows XP OS and i'm trying to get a Cisco VPN client to connect like before.  I understand that you can't use the 32-bit version of the client on a 64-bit OS.  I'm still not sure if this is an IPSEC or SSL VPN device, I should find out later today.  I tried using Cisco's AnyConnect CPN Client but i'm having much luck.  How do I iimport my .pcf profiles?  Are the profiles compatible?  Is this the correct client?

ASKER

So I should be able to enter the same hostname or IP into AnyConnect and it should work?  I did that and it said that the host was unreachable?

What are other factors to consider?  Do all Cisco appliances support the anyconnect client?

the anyconnect is an SSL vpn, not IPSEC vpn, you need to configure your firewall to use it!
How do i import the .pcf files into NCP?  What is the path under program files?
The NCP client contains a tool to import the PCF from the top menu. I am not aware of the ability to drop it into a folder.
what kind of fireawall do you have?
I know how to import the .pcf profiles.  I did that but it wouldn't connect.  I'll try to find out what type of firewall i am connecting to.
Did you trief on NCP?

ASA PIX or Router do you have?
Cisco Anyconnect only works with an ASA appliance. No pix, no concentrator.

If this is a concentrator, try setting up pptp and use the native vpn setup in XP. It should work ok from home as long as only one person at a time is connected (it will not handle multiple connections from the same source IP like ipsec). I believe you can also set up PPTP on a pix, although I've never come across it.
It looks as though NCP should work but it still does not connect.

I'll have to start another topic for this problem.
