Network drive problems with VPN

Asked by savone in Virtual Private Networking (VPN), Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, Windows XP Operating System

Ok so I work in an office were they give you a mapped drive to store all your documents.  They recently gave me a laptop with VPN access to allow me to work from home.

Here is the problem I have (and LanOps folks have no clue)...

So my network drive works fine when I am in the office.  I boot the PC and its there...

When I go home I have to log in, the start up the VPN client and by that time the machine is already saying "Could not connect to all network drives".

I set the VPN client to start before I log in.  So now I hit CLTR-ALT-DEL and I can log into the VPN before logging into the machine.  This still doesnt allow me to connect to the network drive.

Does anyone have any solutions for me?  I dont really care what the solution is just long as I have my drive when I connect.

BTW, We are using the Cisco VPN client
