Manual disconnect is available RV042 router setup, so if client disconnect QuickVPN, it will show still "connected" RV042 setup vpn screen... And there is option to disconnect vpn clients... And then open quickvpn again to connect RV042. If RV042 is not manually disconnected VPN clients they cannot connect via vpn anymore
I think you are saying that manual connect and manual disconnect at the client application works. Is that true?
Then, on the RV042, I looked at my own, but that doesn't tell me why the disconnect option wouldn't work on the RV042. But it may be a Quick VPN interaction causing it. That I do not know.
I prefer as a user to manually connect and disconnect because there are times I do not want my machine connect. From a company perspective, I do not want constant connection by clients if they are not using it. So on both fronts I prefer manual, but that is just my own perspective.

In the RV042 settings, in the VPN tab, if you Edit the tunnel properties (the settings for the remote client), there is an Advanced button. There are several settings here, one of which is Keep Alive.
My tunnels are from router to router and not for remote clients and I can see that setting. Do you have that setting? And if so, can you uncheck it?

Is the client properly logging off the connection? Or perhaps they are just exiting Quick VPN without actually logging off. That could possibly cause the problem you are getting. Did you look in RV042 logs? Is there any event when the client disconnects? ... Thinkpads_User
