Not able to access ESX through Web console

Hello

i have my first testing ESX 3.0.2 server installed. But for some reason i couldnt ping the ip address or access through web browser.

Any help would be appreciated..

If you have multiple network cards, a common issue is that the installation loads the drivers on an unintended NIC.  Try moving the cable to the other port(s).  Optionally you can log on via the console and add the NICs to the vswitch.

Can you access ESX through VI client?  Do you have any firewalls between your ESX and the managing client?  Also, have you checked on the ESX host if your SC is on the right vSwitch?  You also want to check the physical NIC to vSwitch mapping as Stappmeyer suggested.
